The building houses elderly & disabled residents, and includes laundry facilities on floors 2-7, a multi-purpose community room and a library. Units not wheelchair-accessible. Simon Center is located one-half block from a central RTD bus line and across the street from the Malley Center senior recreation center.
Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program
The Section 8 HCV Program provides housing subsidy for qualified applicants who locate rental units in the private market with participating landlords. Under this program, the applicant pays approximately 30 percent of his/her adjusted income for rent and utilities, and the housing authority pays the balance of the fair market rent to the private landlord. Non-resident tenants in this program are required to live in Englewood for the first twelve months of their participation.
