Riverview Village is a HUD Apartment. HUD residents usually pay 30% of their gross income for rent. The rent amount, less approved HUD deductions such as medical and child care expenses, and other allowances, includes a utility allowance. HUD Residents also may choose to pay what is known as flat rent. The HACC works with applicants to determine which rent arrangement is best for them.

Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?
To qualify for low income housing in Kentucky, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.

      User Response: They are low income. They are about 1/3 of your income max being about $700 (July, 2023), once you hit max and have two weeks of pay you have 30 days to move out from the following 1st of the month.

      User Response: Water, garbage, trash, and if you have $0 income right now as of (July 2023) you can get up to $92 in electricity help. Otherwise the $92 gets taken off your rent.

      User Response: I lived here for over a year, and it was rough at first with their rules, but honestly once they like you there’s no problem. But if they don’t like you they will get you for every rule and eventually get you evicted.

    I’ve lived here for over a year and it’s been the easiest year of getting back on my feet. At first it was a little rough but after the first couple month it was smooth sailing. I couldn’t have asked for a better community. Well maybe one that had more kids outside playing as my kid wants to play but other then that.
