The Whittieris a 60-unit, tax credit community for low-income families, with one-, two - and three -bedroom units in its design.

The ground-level floor of this community houses offices for the manager and social service coordinator, along with a large community room for neighborhood use.

The Podium Level of the community houses public spaces thatare for the use of the residents only and include: locked mailboxes, laundry facilities, a basketball half court, a landscaped courtyard with three distinct play areas, picnic tables and barbeque area. There will be a community room with a kitchen and a learning center equipped with computers.

Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.
