Prattville Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of Low Rent Public Housing Apartments and the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8. Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?
To qualify for low income housing in Alabama, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.

    Homeless is looking for covid government assisted housing. Was living with friend in his basement but it has flooded! Needs a new place to live with pet friendly. He has one dog and walks him daily. His only income is ssi, needs housing with utilities included, can not have him live with me, have no room, just got remarried and my daughter and i have health issues. He really needs help before fall. Thank you i am his sister.
