Lordsburg Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of Low Rent Public Housing. This program is income based and the eligibility guidelines are set by HUD.There may be waiting lists for these rentals and at times the lists may close to new applicants based on the size of and length of wait on the lists. 3. Be careful and accurate on all information provided: Any false or misleading information on your application will most likely result in your disqualification.
4. Waiting Lists: The waiting lists for most, if not all low-income housing programs is long. Do not limit yourself to only apply to one apartment location.

To qualify for low income housing in New Mexico, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.

  User Response: My rent for a 1 bedroom went from 98.00 to 398.00 a month and last amount of rent was 479.00? At the end of the day, its whatever the office tell you to pay, you either pay or get eviction notice.

  User Response: I lived in 119 avenida del sol for about 3 years. I am handicapped and floor was all broke and ceiling falling in due to leak in ceiling by electrical outlets. but outside was somewhat safe.

  User Response: When i was there they had a 50.00 pet fee, and couldnt have dangerous dogs or more than one but if you know people you can have whatever you want.
