We offer an attractive and affordable housing community with wrap-around services for the entire family. Residents who participate in these programs can develop greater self-sufficiency and may increase their annual income.  Incoming residents participate in case management to develop life plans to meet their individual needs.

Services for adults include job and job-training referral, budgeting, life coaching, and "Getting Ahead in the Workplace" a 15-week workshop focused on moving up and out of poverty. Childrens services include academic tutoring, mentoring, summer enrichment,  bible study and other programs. The Director of Housing Manager receives input from residents in order to offer new programs as needed.

This community offers two and three bedroom manufactured homes for rent.  We focus on families with children, but set aside some units for people with disabilities.

Key extras include:
    Laundry facilities
    Monthly on-site pantry
    A summer enrichment program for schoolchildren
    A playground and
    A community center for residents, with separate computer rooms for adult and children, a television-and-library area and meeting space.
    Monthly food pantry

Chapman Community Health Program from the FSU College of Medicine brings free health screenings, wellness workshops, tutoring for children nd social events. The center also hosts other educational programs, including Bible studies.
Maryland Oaks Crossing is zoned for Sabal Palm Elementary, Griffin Middle and Godby High School.

To qualify for available housing, you must:
    Meet income limits for HUD-assisted housing;
    Be eviction-free for at least three years; and
    Have no sexual-crime or violent-crime convictions.
    Be willing to participate in wrap-around services for the entire family.

Households must have minimum monthly incomes of $1,400 to be eligible for a two-bedroom home or $1,600 for a three-bedroom unit.
Our on-site housing director works with agencies that can help with move-in costs, depending on your needs.

Tips Before Applying for Low Income Housing
  • 1. Research all of the different low-income housing programs available in your area. There are a variety of federal, state, and local programs that offer low-income housing assistance. Each program has its own eligibility requirements and application process, so it is important to do your research to find the program that is right for you.
  • 2. Get all of your documentation in order: When you apply for low income housing, you will need to provide documentation of your income, assets, and household composition. This documentation may include tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, and birth certificates.
  • 3. Be careful and accurate on all information provided: Any false or misleading information on your application will most likely result in your disqualification.
  • 4. Waiting Lists: The waiting lists for most, if not all low-income housing programs is long. Do not limit yourself to only apply to one apartment location.

Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?
To qualify for low income housing in Florida, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get in some apartments the 100% rate changes to things like 200%. In these cases, you will only need to multiply the rate in each category by 2.
