The Housing Authority of the County of Tulare provides low income residents with housing assistance through the management of programs such as Low Rent Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8. You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.

    I filled out an application online for low rent visalia housing. When i received the confirmation number the message stated that i was only allowed to submit one application. I didn't know that section 8 and hud are also a part of the housing authority. How can i get on all the program's waitlists? My only income is ssi, i'm 54 years old.
