Housing Authorities of the City and County of Fresno is a combined agency that provides affordable housing options for families, seniors and disabled residents that qualify. Eligibility requirements are set by HUD. Housing Assistance is provided through the management of programs such as Low Rent Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Programs - Section 8. Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?
To qualify for low income housing in California, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.

These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get in some apartments the 100% rate changes to things like 200%. In these cases, you will only need to multiply the rate in each category by 2.

    Renter rights to get cooling fixed in rental home. We are considered senior citizens l am 73 wife is 68 we have breathing problems such as asthma and i have sleep apnea. Our ac went out last thursday temp is 86 inside the agent’s won’t get it fixed until next saturday. Is ther any to get this fixed any sooner since this seems to me to be a health and safety issue!

    Im not sure but. I applyed for section 8 june in 2019 and. I was told that. June of this year 2020. That. When i will know if im excepted i have a 22 month old child and im in need of a home.
