If you are in need of housing assistance in the area please contact the Housing Authority directly to obtain more information about eligibility requirements, availability of rentals or vouchers, the status of any waiting lists and their application procedures.

Tips Before Applying for Low Income Housing
  • 1. Research all of the different low-income housing programs available in your area. There are a variety of federal, state, and local programs that offer low-income housing assistance. Each program has its own eligibility requirements and application process, so it is important to do your research to find the program that is right for you.
  • 2. Get all of your documentation in order: When you apply for low income housing, you will need to provide documentation of your income, assets, and household composition. This documentation may include tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, and birth certificates.
  • 3. Be careful and accurate on all information provided: Any false or misleading information on your application will most likely result in your disqualification.
  • 4. Waiting Lists: The waiting lists for most, if not all low-income housing programs is long. Do not limit yourself to only apply to one apartment location.

Maintenance and management are terrible. I know of 3 people at wilmington hi-rise who have been without running refrigerators up to 3 weeks. There are empty apts. Where they could easily exchange but they won't. These residents are afraid to make complaints due to a former resident who was retaliated against and evicted for making complaints

Gdpm does not follow their obligations as outlined in the lease agreement. As a result of making complaints about them violating 6 areas of the fair housing act i am a homeless senior citizen

After i talked to manager about a letter she signed and sent me claiming i owed $376 and then said i didn't owe anything, the next day i got a call from the main office of gdpm and lisa told me i could apply for assistance from cap for back rent. When i asked how much i owed she gave me 2 different amounts over $200 in difference and told me she wasn't sure which was one was correct. One was over $300 and the other was over $500. I informed her my attorney and their attorney made an agreement last month and i don't owe them anything. These people are dishonest and will screw you over if they can

I am at wilmington hi- rise and have been reporting violations. Manager tells the people i report and they threatened me. I signed an agreement to move by a certain date with no money owed. They refused my rent. Now they sent me a letter stating i owe money. Manager said i don't owe anything but yet she is the one who signed the letter. Plus it gives me 2 weeks beyond the signed agreement. This could prevent a low income senior citizen from obtaining affordable housing. Thanks gdpm

Greater dayton premier management has a senior citizen on wilmington ave. Management rarely there and they ignore complaints of drug sales in parking lot, residents drinking and urinating in parking lot, drinking in community room. If you report these violations the person reported finds out and threatens the person that reported them.
