Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?
To qualify for low income housing in Washington, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.

    The managers at creekside/ enclave apt. 's are not the problem here, its us. As dark-skinned tenants we live here in fear. Most of us have moved, like my friend and his blind wife. At first, they were happy here, until the apartment started to scare them. He complained that surveillance was obstructive and unhelpful, as it turns out it was more than harmful. I thought i was hearing voices in my room and after he came up he noticed unusual things. He also heard stuff--such as surveillance stuff and police presence and wouldn't come back up here anymore. The management made me seem like we were crazy of course. They soon moved and i am stuck in a police presence that wont go away. Are we crazy or do you want to move here? I dont think so.
