    These apartment buildings are not taken care of. In my building, the bottom floor apartment had a pipe burst or something. It was left like that, the entire bottom floor, including the carpeted hallway + laundry room were puddled with inches of water for days at least. It made the entire hallway all the way up the stairs smell like mildew and mold. They cleaned it by just sucking up the water and never even checked under the rug for mold/mildew, so it still reeks in my hallway. The pipes in my apartment have been leaking slowly + get clogged randomly since the day we have moved in. The window broke so it was stuck open and it took days for maintenance to repair it. All of the tenants in my building had no hot water for almost a whole week because the management company was too cheap to get the heater fixed over a weekend. Hidden behind llc after llc, you’ll never find out who really owns the building. During covid they’ve raised the rent for a 2 bedroom.
