Burleigh County Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of programs such as Low Rent Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8. These programs are income based and the eligibility guidelines are set by HUD. Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?
To qualify for low income housing in North Dakota, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.

    I think my income is low enough to qualify for section 8. Every month i have to use some savings just to pay the rent. I live at the wellington now and i'm charged for services that i don't use and i don't need. Also i need to help my son if i can. Jason had a kidney transplant on 6/24/20. After a short stay he went back in the hospital on 7/3/20. He is still in the hospital due to complications.
