Low income, affordable housing.The McKean County Redevelopment & Housing Authority (MCHRA) strives to promote sustainable communities where families, individuals, the elderly, and those with special needs have access to quality, affordable housing.Some properties include: Bradford High Rise Apartments is a 5 (five) story building, constructed in 1970, which consists of 128 efficiency and one-bedroom units. Seven of the units are handicap accessible.The units are designed to house either single individuals or couples. The property is within walking distance to the city center, and have access to public transportation through ATA.On-site amenities include 2 elevators, a large community room, coin-operated laundry facilities and a pavilion.Central Towers is a 6 (six) story building that was constructed in 1978 for the purpose of providing safe, decent and affordable housing to elderly and disabled, income qualified individuals.There are 84 one-bedroom units which have a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Five of the units are handicap accessible apartments located on the first floor. There are several units with "cut-out" tubs located on floors 2 through 6.Rent is based on income and includes all utilities and basic cable.On-site amenities include 2 elevators, a large community room, coin-operated laundry facility, a beauty salon, a computer lab and a pavilion.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.
